Born in the Netherlands, graduated in Electrical Engineer at the University of Eindhoven. While working for Hitec Power Protection bv, a manufacturer of Uninterruptable Power Supplies (UPS), I was assigned in 2000 to Taiwan to support the business and set up a local branch. There was high demand for UPS systems from the semiconductor industry in Taiwan. UPS systems were critical for this industry and a local service team was necessary to meet the need for a fast and qualified response at any time.
In 2008 I stepped over to the industry that had long been a major interest and started to work for ENERCON in Taiwan as the service manager. ENERCON in Taiwan has grown to an important supplier of onshore windturbines and takes 70% of the onshore wind market with 233 turbines installed. In recent years I have been very active in the European Chamber of Commerce as a member of the board, a member of the steering committee of the Low Carbon Initiative and a co-chair for the Wind Energy committee.
